Clematis Wilt.
« on: July 02, 2022, 14:32 »
Do we have any clematis experts?
I have a  clematis-possibility the President- that used to grow up a pergola. It was ok for a few years then started dying back.
I removed it to a recycling (with Gro bag compost) box where it seemed to thrive. So the next year I planted it in a new space where it proceeded to die!!
It is now in a large pot where one by one the stems are dying off. But there is new growth at the bottom.
So is there a cure, or is it the real recycling box this time?
Any input gratefully received. Thank you.

RHS advice on Clematis wilt here, which says
Quote
The disease is not immediately fatal, but infected susceptible cultivars will usually die eventually.
