No success with winter onions here so it's just the garlic - I'm going for Early Purple Wight, again, cos I get a crop from them before the Onion White Rot gets going  ;)

My purple wight were a cracking crop but the solent wight were a tad small and tight.  Not sure if thats the case with solent, but just seemed a tad sad at the side of the purple?

I got a decent crop from my senshyu onions as well. so will be going for same as last year?

Senshyu onions and a good mix, say 40 / 60 in favour of purple wights and solents

I have just ordered some cloves ready for this autumn and have ordered purple wights and solents so that is good to hear!

And although it is not  a true garlic, being more closely related to leeks, I grow elephant garlic from an Autumn planting with great success.

Nice sweet, mild taste roasted whole alongside meat for Sunday dinner  :D

Senshyu yellow for me again.  Music garlic didn't do as well as I'd hoped but it was far better than the others so I'm saving the best bulbs for this autumn.  :)
