Rusty leek seedlings??!!
« on: July 03, 2008, 19:27 »
I have some leek seedlings under my Munty frame but they are looking a bit rusty.

I have dug some early spuds but am wondering whether it is wise to transplant the leek seedlings if they are showing signs of rust. I assume it must have been a bit crowded where they are at present. Any thoughts welcomed!!

Cheers HH
Keep digging

A bit early to have rust on them for good development, but they might surprise you. If don't trust them, sow another lot quickly.

I've got rust on perpetual onions, should I dig them up? So far I just pulled off all the rusty bits.

That's only because

a) everybody is busy in the garden

b) everybody thinks I'm full of disease
