Lovely picture, good technique!

(If you've also got a good technique for finely chopping dried chillies without them shooting all over the kitchen please let me know!)  ;)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

did all them chillies come from 1 plant that you so called neglected :ohmy:blimey im impressed

Yes, they did and I picked quite a few already, before the final harvest.  Not bad for a 'reduced for quick sale' sad looking plant eh?

Good point, scissors are a no-no as I found out.  Usually I try to cup one hand over the chilli as I cut, but if anyone has a better tip I would like to hear it.

I whizz mine in the food processor.....sounds a bit noisy but seems to work.

Or if they are dry enough put in a small poly bag and whack with the rolling pin

I dry my chillies and then just crumble them into the cooking. But ... they don't seem to stay dry enough to crumble (even in plastic bag). So I have to re-dry them periodically.  maybe freezing would be better (possibly after first drying?)

I'd love to have them in some sort of pepper/salt grinder to be able to just use them (and not have the associated nose/eye-rubbing Ahhhhhh! forgot AGAIN!! issues I have at present - or even the half-asleep pee in the middle of the night  :tongue2:

I have to get the seeds out first - otherwise they are way too hot for me and mine.

Very sharp knife. I find that is good enough. :)
