Peppers Sweet Capsiums
« on: July 24, 2007, 18:18 »
Hiya
My orange sweet peppers were growing in the  conservatory, which gets very hot.  To turn orange from green I left them on the vine.  All  went wrinkly in places on each pepper.  Anyone know why and what I may have done wrong.  Also they are quite bitter for orange peppers.

They were jinxed from the start........Grew taller (supposed to be compact plant) and produced much more fruit than should.  Moved it and snapped fifteen off the two plants in the trough whilst still green and smallish so went soft when tried to ripen, which left me about eight on each. Got attacked by aphids/whitefly sprayed with washing up liquid and water that made most of the leaves go black and drop.  Then snapped it again.

The ones outside although just fruiting now look more like they should compact and bushy.
