Here it is next Friday, who is in need of any, should see when and what locally.
I think it's worth checking out. Soft fruit of a wide range 99p each(probably not named but hard to say for small print).
Fruit trees 3.99 each, named as Classic range: Victoria plum, Pear Beurre pear, Conference pear, etc.

Spare a thought for the poor people of Bath.
No Lidl, Netto, Wilkinsons, and just a small Woolies in one of the suburbs.
Feeling deprived of a bargain

Pah!! We have none of those at all :(
-
I'm sorry girls, it is nothing to do with me that you do live in a posh place.
-
In my case it's nothing to do with being posh or not, though I have remembered there's a Lidl 50 miles away and hopefully we're going to Tralee this week so I might look in..
-
It a joke , rose.
-
Do you know why the offer isn't advertised on their web site? Or is it not happening in all there stores.
Bristol has a choice of 4 Lidl's don't you know...........

I don't know why, but it isn't. You got to get a leaflet locally.
-
au contraire flash, Bristol has at least 6.
Fishponds Road, Brislington, Hanham, Bedminster, Yate, Lawrence Hill.
You are truly spoilt for choice.
I'm off to Salisbury tomorrow so was hoping they might have one, in case an over eager assistant put them out too early - have they? - NOPE!
-
I'm not sure I'd count Yate..................
-
:D :D :D
-
Yate was my first Lidl trip..........you never forget your first
Brilliant German Beer :!:
-
Actually I hadn't realised there was a Lidl in Yate and that's a lot easier than heading into Brissle to go to the Westbury-on-Trim one so thanks SallyA.
-
It's not the biggest Lidl in the world, so I hope they have the plants.
-
Has anyone actually seen these seeds. I may venture out over the weekend. The Lidl in Ruffec, France is even cheaper than the Lwrence Hill one.
-
I'm going for some of the fruit trees tomorrow. my mum bought one of their apple trees years ago and it's great she gets loads of fruit every year.
-
I went yesterday lunch for gooseberries, wanted 4 but only got 2, someone had beat me to em! They had everything else, bluebery, bramble, red & blackcurrant and raspberry (my local nursery is selling rasps at 70p a cane tho) but consoled myself with a plum tree... off up the allotment to plant em whilst the sun is shining!

Actually went in LIDL today in Burton. I dont know what it was about the place but I dont think I will be going in again. I wasnt very impressed.
-
ruby, you are experiencing everyone first opinion of Lidl - then you get hooked.
a wide range of veg, half the price of other supermarkets.
Brilliant German brewed beer.
Deli counter witha fab selection of cold meats.
Potato salad - really waxy spud, and creamy sauce - you must try it; ditto coleslaw.
tomato sauce- very tomatoey - can give heinz a run for it's money.
Fruit juices - wide selection.
But.......I've never managed to find a good bottle of red wine, I only tried about 3 times, and now don't even look at it.
I'm sorry, but I'm a big fan - just wish they had one in Bath.
Don't forget to take your own carrier bags folks!
-
They do sell a couple of nice red wines, just can't remember what they are called, hic.

Wouldn't be anything to do with the fact that they're not English would it Ruby?
-
Went to Lidl for the first time ever today and got two fruit trees. What a strange place. But, I have to say that as a person that frequents second hand shops I found it enlightening. Lots of very good bargains to be had and a good range of stock. Odd to us used to English supermarkets but well worth a second look.
-
I bought a variety of fruit trees to make my new orchard (grand name for a few trees) from Lidl and they are doing well.
Well that is apart from the one my son strimmed when he came down to help us clear the land   bless him
Our had another load in last time I went so might get a few more. I got Bramley Apple, Pear trees and Eating apple (can't remember which names) great value I think they were about 3.99 each.
Woolies also had them and Poundland & Wilko's had had great fruit bushes all of which are growing fine in the wilderness I loosely call a garden
-
A friend suggested I tried ALDI. They think its a bit nicer. Might try to get there tomoz
-
They're going to be opening a new Aldi near us so I'd love to know what they're like. Did you get there Ruby Red? What did you think?
-
After a tour of 4 Lidls I managed a cherry tree and 2 raspberries. All the blueberries and rest of the raspberries had gone.
-

I have to disagree there - I cant eat the potato salad - just tastes odd to me for some reason.
BUT try their luxury caramel/shortcake biscuitys - about 80p for four. Oh my God! Thick tasty caramel wonderful buttery base - rich chocolate. Absolutely to die for.
I bought a gooseberry and a Mock Orange the other day - and some nasturtium seeds for 30p a pack!

Best ready made potato salad money can buy, that one is. Love it.
-
Must be our Eastern European taste buds Gobs. Their black forest ham and salamis are excellent too.
-
Yes, and without going into any deep fermentation, the pickles and juices are outstanding.
-
ooh yes the mini gherkins, and the blackcurrant juice in cartons.
I really must do a trek to a Lidl soon.
-
So must I , birthday this week, his, so gotta get something in. Bit of juice, bit of this and that.
-

I'll need to give it a try. IMHO it doesn't have a lot of competition to fight off!

Not just me and Sally, it's cheffs' blind judgement best one in some costumer trial thingie, too, anyhow, it's best to make your own, but if you in a rush, that's a good one.
-
