Is it too late to move gooseberry bushes?

I have some gooseberry bushes that are a bit swamped by couch grass ( I think ) . Was hoping to get them moved before now but it's been a bit wet !!  Is it too late? 
we also rescue rabbits and guinea pigs, grow own veg

It is probably best in Autumn or early winter when they are dormant.
If they are just starting to sprout now, you may just be able to do so.
Mine have been sprouting for a few weeks and well on their way now.

You will need to dig a fair amount of ground around them as their roots spread.
Make sure you mulch them in nicely and start feeding them with homemade compost from mid March.
