hi everyone , i am looking at building rasied beds on one of my plots an i will be using 8'4 ply sheets cut down the length  but i would like to know whats the best thing to paint it with , i have used cupinol { spelt wrong  :lol: } on my other wood bordered beds but that dosent always last very long an they need to be re done is there anything else i can use thats plant friendly.

Sadolin will probably last longer, but I'm surprised at the cuprinol not doing the job. What kind of wood is it ?

i dont know , at the mo i am using 4'1 treated gravel boards ,. i have never heard of sadolin  :?:

plywood isnt going to last long when in contact with the soil as the glue used to stick the ply together aint waterproof it will just swell up and split in no time,unles you use marine ply,thats around 50 quid a sheet  :shock:
feed the soil not the plants

i wont be using that  :lol: . a guy on the plot next to me has a bad back so he made rasied beds out of pallets . but he soaked them in some kind of oil then something else an for the life of me i cant remebr what he used , he reckons the pallets will last 5 yrs before they need changing.
