Morrisons compost bags?
« on: February 28, 2012, 12:15 »
Went to Morrisons last night. They sold combost bags. They appear as big as a dustbin. They have a zippy lid too. They looked quite good and only £3.00 so I got one. Anybody used them?

No, but they sound interesting, so please let us know how they work.  My parents live near Morrisons, so I could send them shopping...

Currently I have four compost bins...one black rubbish bin with a hole in the base & three split water butts that were being thrown out by other people.  The only disadvantage to dalek bins is that you can't take compost out at the base while the top is still rotting down - you have to wait till the whole lot is ready.  But they are free & daleks cost £20-£30 round here!

I think the Morrisons bags may be seeled. So I suppose if the compost needed a poke it would have to be emptied, still good though for £3.00 :)

Yes it does look like that. The zippy lid would be good if I wantedd to transfer between house and allotment ( no messy car) and stop it filling with rain water.
