Is it too early t start buying plug plants as I saw them at the local garden centre but resisted temptation to buy them there and then. Should I start buying them or is it too early?

I`d let the GC/nursery look after them until the weather warms up a bit more.

You know what?  I saw plug plants in the GC yesterday - radish!  Who on earth buys radish in plug plants?  I guess someone must do.  I am tempted to stand there all day with a pack of radish seed and offer it to anyone who wants to buy the radish.  Mind you, I was tempted to buy the celery...

Jamie I'd go for a few packets of seeds on a warmish window sill or wait and sow direct - you'll save a fortune and have some plants to share or swap.

All just my humble opinion....... I'm sure there's a place for plug plants but I tend just to laugh at the prices (who can take them seriously  )

What sort of plug plants were you thinking of buying? vegetable or flowers?
I brought vegetable plug plants last season and were disappointed with the results, especially with the cabbage & cauliflower's. This season i'm being really brave, i'm trying to grow everything from seed.
