Title: merry tiller major
Post by: lydenburg on March 05, 2012, 15:09
Just bought my first merry tiller major from tractor world auction on saturday. It looked good and had compression. Got it home, pig to start as the previous owner had rerouted throttle cable and fast was slow and slow was fast. Also wouldnt shut off. Fixed that, very little oil in engine but no leaks, fixed that. Just need to check crankcase now for oil, although it appears to have some in and no leaks. Had a quick wizz on the new vegetable patch and the tynes cut through and chop up well. Check oil in crankcase and replace with fresh. might do a complete oil change on engine. Fix carb up properly. Clutch needs adjusting.

Luckily it came with an owners manual.

£130 plus buyers premium, im happy with that
