My heart goes out to you.  That's like losing family.  Hope the police have some chance of cathcing the ***********s.  Just don't think of things like that happening on Guernsy.
So sorry. :(

at the moment i am making my coop thief proof i hope so when i get new chooks they will be locked up and safe i hope i thought they were safe before on such a small island i dont think the police got any chance of finding them or the inclanation they are far to busy to bother with chooks i have more chance of finding them myself i would recognize a lot of them because i bred them all from eggs and there is a lot that anyone over here hasnt got there all rare breed chooks and some new varieties that ive bred.which i am unable to replace.

Have posted 6 eggs (1st class special delivery) and they should be with you tomorrow morning. Hopefully I have packed them properly (polystyrene box off Grannie Annie inside a cardboard box with shredded paper and bubble wrap). Remember to let them settle for 24 hours before incubating them  :). Not sure what colours you will get - I've hatched white, black and lavender this year. Good luck.

found some of your photo's - you had a lovely lemon coloured orp (or at least thats what it looks like ) is that safe?
Did they also get your ducks? If so are they back safe and sound now?
Perhaps the person who stole your birds found out about them as you had recently started to sell your eggs?

Having just read through this thread, upset for goodegg regarding the loss of their chickens then happy to see that they had been found. But most of all as a newbie here it brought tears to my eyes to see what wonderful generous and caring people there are on this forum.
