hi
i want to move my strawberrys now,is it a good time ? and shoul i cut the leaves off or just leave them,ive got the bed ready , all mucked up and dug in,just awaiting some advice  ty mick

Wait until late autumn, mid-summer is a very bad time to move anything.

Give them plenty of water. If they're established plants, be aware they don't like being shifted, try and take a big clod of earth with the root.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

If the plants have finished cropping, you should trim back the larger, older leaves now anyway, and feed the plants.

I've moved them before at this time of year, but as DD says, I watered them well and took large clods of earth so that the roots weren't disturbed. If you take too little soil and roots hang out, they have a hard time recovering regardless of how much water you give them.
