Egg eating chickens

Thanks for all the wonderful advice - what a helpful lot you are!  I have tried the rubber eggs and this really worked at first, but they have returned to bad habits.  Liked the idea of blinkers and wonder if anybody knows where I might get hold of some.

no idea sorry - perhaps you would be best making rollaway nest boxes.
Staffies are softer than you think.

I have never heard of blinkers for chickens but really don't like the sound of it to be honest.  Would a chicken be comfortable with blinkers on?  As there are other solutions which won't cause the chickens any distress at all (eg roll away boxes as suggested by Joyful above) wouldn't they be the better route to go down?

As I said, I haven't heard of blinkers for chickens so apologies if they are widely used and not harmful.

if you click on this link and scroll down you will see a photo of a chicken in blinkers - I would sooner have rollaway boxes myself.

you also used to be able to get rose tinted glasses which were fitted when birds were a couple of weeks old to help stop chickens fighting (held on with a pin through their nostril) - the company that made these are still going but no longer make these glasses -
