No matter whereever you live in UK, autumn sown broadbeans are a disgrace I think.
Went to the plot yesterday to see 4-5 completed blackened flopped and died, 4-5 have just flopped and the remaining 10 standing and waiting for the next frost to "complain and die"  .

Question on shallots (griselle)
put in looooooooong time ago but no sign of life/sprout. is this normal?

I covered mine with fleece cloches so they are ok  but if the temperature goes down to below -10c then I shall swear!!!
