What is causing the 'white tracks' in aubergines?

What is causing the 'white tracks' in aubergines?

My greenhouse aubergines have just begun to develop whitish tracks in some of their leaves. When I turn the leaves over I can see tiny beige coloured things. What are they and how do I get rid of them?

I had leaf miner on one of my apples for three years in a row, touch wood no sign this year. Mind you we have aphids instead, not sure what i prefer.  ::)

Type in leaf miner to google and compare pics against yours

Just squeeze the leaf and miner, between thumb and finger.

I have never seen the actual bug on our tree any ideas if it does come back. Doesnt seem to mess with the fruit production just messes up the leaves
