Post-plugs

(1/1)

mrs bouquet:
I had 36 delivered about 10 days ago, they are potted up and on my breakfast bar (south facing).  But not a lot is happening, the thermo tells me it is about 19c.   Perhaps not warm enough.   Comments please,  Mrs Bouquet

mumofstig:
Should be warm enough MrsB, but light levels have been pretty low, so far this spring :( I think they'll need a while to catch up. If it's any consolation, mine are just the same pfft!

Goosegirl:
Ah, that's really helpful somewhat. Although my post plug plants of antirrhinums and lobelia are just about ready to plant out, my begonias seem to have come to a standstill. I have given all of them a dilute feed of Tomorite as I potted them up in John Innes No. 2 so thought they might need a little boost in case they'd run out of nutrients. Can't explain the difference between them though.

mrs bouquet:
I was going to take the 36 young ladies to the greenhouse and replant them into something else, not sure what yet.  But as it is pouring rain and none too pleasant, thats another job to put off until ....     GG are you putting your lobelia etc into the outdoors ?  I could plant the fuschias into their container, but not sure how many to plant in it and also the weather.    Surely we cannot have a frost now.    Mrs Bouquet

Goosegirl:
Yes, MB. They'[re going out today after having a little hardening-off session, as are the rest of the antirrhinums. If I manage them all today (which I doubt) my begonias are coming out of the greenhouse as well to harden off too.
