as the others have said i too grow my beans up canes, but i still grow my peas up netting and get a very good crops (if it aint broke dont fix it), yes it is a bit of a faff at the end of the season but its the easiest method for me as i tried DD's method last year but i got too fustrated as i couldn't seem to get the twine tought enough - needless to say i'll try DD's method again this year and see how i get on!
