Mangetout yellowing
« on: June 17, 2011, 20:42 »
Hi

So first year growing mangetout and about a week ago a couple of plants started yellowing. I presumed i had pulled a few plants out when hoeing so paid little attention.

Went today and it has spread and most on the row are now yellow and the odd few are white and i presume dead.

They have almost stopped producing and are about 2 foot high - i understood they where to grow much taller.

Im gutted as i was loving the return from the plants

So what do you think? End of their season already? Lack of watering (must admit i havent done them much however last week or two has been wetter) I transplanted them - could that be it?

Sounds like you had a reasonable return - they don't go on for ever.

The lack of water would not have helped and transplanting may well have set them back, especially in drought conditions.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
