I think the old Penny is well and truly back now!  this afternoon she was sitting next to one of the henhouses wagging her tail at me then going down on her belly.  When I went to look, she had cornered a rat which was trying to get under the shed, but where Brian had put this bit of old polycarbonate that we use as rain shelters for the chooks the rat got stuck!  I grabbed the only thing I could reach which was the plastic base of an animal cage someone had given us and shoved it down on top of the rat, but it didn't kill it.  As I shouted to Brian to bring me something sharp, the rat suddenly disappeared from view.

Penny had managed to get her paw under the fence and the polycarbonate and grabbed the rat and pulled it backwards.  She made sure it was dead before she'd let me have it!      Yuk!

Penny is well and truly back on track!  She caught another rat this morning.  Looks like they are using the old mole tunnels as runs.  She was sniffing at one last night, but I called her away because of her stitches.  this morning Brian let her out and she went straight down there, waited a minute then threw this rat up in the air and caught it on the way down!  That's 2 gone!

Then we took her to the vet this morning for her post op check and the vet was really pleased.  She is having her stitches out next Thursday!   :D :D

Normal Service has resumed!!   :D :D :D

Phew, thank goodness. She sounds quite her old self again.  Well done for getting those rats. Better than having to use poisons any day  :)
