I take a very technical approach to planting my chitted potatos. I assess average daily temperature, soil moisture, phases of the moon and the emerging insect activity, before looking at my neigbour and then planting when he does. :tongue2:
I tend to copy the guys who have been gtrowing for years and the general consencus is that last week march/first week of april is about right for our location and our soil.

Same area as you and I'm going for April as I'm away at the end of March and very aware of the frosts we had last June.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
