Vivaldi spuds
« on: April 08, 2009, 14:22 »
I have just received my free Vivaldi spuds (as spotted on the frugal living section) but don't really know anything about them, are they first earlies or second (if they are second earlies when do I plant these out?)  Sorry if I am asking stoopid questions but have only grown first earlies before.

You might say it's an all rounder.

The British Spud Council have it down as a maincrop that can be eaten as baby spuds...

Taterbase has it as a second early.....

Can go out anytime time, just keep an eye open for frost.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I got mine yesterday and popped them in a planter bag, ready to be whisked under cover if need be.

Received mine today also but I am planning to hold them back until the end of next month to hopefully have some late earlys. Does that make sense, I'm not sure
