Red Cedar wood preservative £2.49 for 5 litres at the Shipley branch.  I also got a greenhouse thermometer, 100 plant labels and some jute twine for 69p each.

We have an Aldi opened not far from us. No frills ,at the tills they can't get you through quick enough. Your goods are almost thrown back into the trolly and you pack them afterwards.

That's how it works.

The 'big four' have apparently started to take note which is maybe good for the customer but not so for the supplier.

You do have to 'take a chance' with some of the products, tried the cereal that is sweetened cornflakes, not worth bothering with. Other items are probably better, which judging by the car park ,they must be.

The checkout operators are our nearest Aldi are quicker than the ones in other supermarkets, but to me, that's a bonus.  'Others' are so slow at times, and chat to other operators.  Really annoying.

Our Aldi operators are also really helpful and cheerful!

Our Aldi is so busy, we can take longer to get through the check out than we do in the others!

And they thrive.  I have lovely sweetpeas and climbing french beans this year, bought end of last season from Aldi.  plants on the other hand I pass - they have had too rough a ride ....
