Children's Show Entries yesterday
« on: September 02, 2018, 09:17 »
All our grandchildren entered the Children's Classes at the Show, and did very well, with everyone having at least one First place. The older two (ages 13 & 9) tied for the Youth Cup, and the youngest one (age 5) not only won the Children's Cup but had the President's Award for the single best entry in the whole of the show, all classes and ages included, for her Garden of Fresh Flowers on a Plate!!!
It took her nearly 2 hours to make, and under all the flowers in a little stone bridge over a blue glass pebbles river, and a cottage complete with gardening tools in it's garden

Our 9yr old  also won the Novice Cup, with onions, runner beans, courgettes, tomatoes and a vase of flowers

So proud of them all. Fantastic achievements that I hope will keep them with GYO for ever :D :D :D

Oh what! That looks fantastic and must have taken ages to plan then create it. You must be proud as punch!  :)
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

Oh yes! She is so happy with her garden she keeps going over to sniff it as the sweetpeas smell really good... she grew them in her little plot up some canes so had to fit them in somewhere  :nowink: There is lavender, mint, tagetes and a small rose to add to th perfume too
