Lady Christl...

Please, what's the big thing about these spuds?

I got the impression that they were just a good bet, and we easily found some locally.

There are 35 or so waiting to go in...

Big deal?

You lucky boy Growster. I searched everywhere then gave up and bought something else.
Can't remember what at the moment. It's my age

I got mine from Fothrgill's but ordered last October - as people were already saying that there would be a shortage of seed potatoes 'cos of last year's weather.

I usually order my seed spuds in December but have to confess I did a panic buy in October on the assumption there might be a shortage.  I got my Lady Christl from JBA - this will be the first time I've grown these so I hold you all responsible for my choice

I'm so sorry that we crashed the market folks...

Our one one bag of 2.5 kg had 38 little chaps in it, and we'd maybe have bought another, but Mrs Growster's eagle eye spotted a rotten one and refused to look at it any further!

I have to admit that there were only two bags in the shop, so this allotment site has much to be blamed/thankful/snorted at etc...
