Plans for new garden
« on: November 14, 2019, 09:14 »
I have recently moved to a new house with a largish back garden (90ft x 55ft) which is more or less a blank canvas.  As this will be my ‘forever’ garden I plan on taking my time with it.  My initial plan is to have a nice size veg plot at the bottom (approx 20 ft x 55 ft).  The rest will be flower beds and grass but I will possibly have to terrace it as it is slopped.  I also have some nice beds out the front which are very overgrown with a very large grisilinia hedge and ivy.  The front bed is acidic and I have removed all the grisilinia and ivy and found two Camilias which are looking a lot happier now that they have had a feed and some light.  I am having some repair work done on the wall next week (it has been undermined by the roots of the grisilinia) and then I am going to plant Rhododendrons and Azalias which were in pots in my old house, I will then underplant it with bulbs and hellebores.
