Does anyone feed chives to their chucks and if so can it taint the eggs.

"feed" chives to the chickens might not be the word I'd use!!

I try to grow chives and thought that they wouldn't eat them, tasting oiony as they do - but lo and behold! all the chives bitten down to the ground.

it doesn't seem to have tainted the eggs, but having said that, I haven't had a chance to eat many this past fortnight because people keep taking them....

My ducks aren't that fussed by the chives but they ate all my garlic greens above the ground and I ended up with garlicky eggs!
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

I worked in the Middle East for a while. Local chickens appeared to be fed on sweepings up from local open air Souk (market), eggs often tasted of onions, grapefruit, banana, chillis, etc. Bit of a lottery -- some tastes we never did identify.
