Unlucky - were there many?

I lost a few of my main lot, but managed to cut / peel off the affected bits on some and ended up with a few bags of diced carrot in the freezer.

I environmeshed but got terrible slug damage from those little black ones you can't see and that ignore blue pellets.

Maybe you could incorporate a few pellets into the ground as this is where those black ones lurk

I have found that Envoirmesh is too warm for carrots, lots of top growth at the expence of roots. I use a 2ft barrier and plant a row of spring onions all around the inside of the barrier. I always harvest in the evening, when there is less chance of the fly being around and I give the spring onion leaves a good squeese to mask the smell of the carrots.
Seems to do the trick for me!!
