on my new plot i have some black currents that are looking likr trees i/e over 4 foot and the stems must be 2" across, what do i do with them cut um down or trim them and let them grow on

black currants can be pruned right back to the soil in winter and then new growth will come next year ,old fruit stems dont produce as much as young :wink: prune them with an eye to having open stems next year this will allow air to get around em  :wink:
