How fussy are currant bushes when planted in an exposed, windy location?

I have the opportunity to plant two currant bushes in a spot that receives full sun but is completely exposed to the wind. I do not have the ability to plant a wind break as it is our principal view from the property so I thought I would ask for opinions.

They like to be sheltered.

But having said that ours aren't very sheltered and are doing okay. However we do lose a lot of blossoms to the wind. Their in pots up against a fence on our drive so their close to a wind tunnel.

I live in on flat moss land by the coast and have two currant bushes in the back garden. They fruit well but there is a bit of shelter with my greenhouse on their windward side.

It sounds like they will be OK here then. There is no wind tunnel, just a steady open area.

I'll plant them and see because I can always give them a couple of seasons and move them in a winter if they suffer too badly.
