Title: Auto vent opener
Post by: mumofstig on February 13, 2018, 17:02
Popped up the garden this morning, to check overwintering plants and found the window still wide open from yesterday.  Good job it stayed above freezing last night!
I've taken the opener off altogether now, I think the bit that slides into the tube needs some oil to free it up.
Tomorrow, I'll have to brave the shed  ::) to try to find the WD40  :D

I noticed mine, in the garden greenhouse, open a few times last week. On Friday my max/min thermometer recorded a high of 26°C, the highest since mid October. If only it had felt that warm at the plot!

The worst laguage possible always accompanies fitting or refitting one of those damned things to an aluminium greenhouse...

I finished up wiring mine into place as the screw holes just didn't match up at all, but at least it works properly now!

Surprised you didn't hear me Mum..;0)

I'm glad you couldn't hear me when I had to get it off the wide open window - it was quite breezy at the time

We always get cross when we have to fix things we rely on, don't we?  ::)
