Hi. I posted this two days ago - no response. Will try again.

Anyone? I'm now wondering if they're actually Sensui Yellow.

I noticed a tray of these selling for £1.99 at my local garden centre (around 20 seedlings I think). They're marked as Yellow Globe Onion (Winter) and the harvesting instructions say harvest when they're big enough to use.

So, are these over wintering ones? Anyone tried them? I grew Radar and Sensui Yellow (from sets) last time and had reasonable success, although quite a few went to seed. Just wondering what to try putting down this Autumn and whether to try seeds/seedlings rather than sets (or maybe a mixture of both).

Yes, I did try searching for it but the results were confusing - some sites suggested that the onion in question is Sensui Yellow.

Anyway, thanks for the link - looks like its a miracle onion - over wintering but keeps well. Or maybe I'm reading it too literally.

I might try them.
