Give it a try (on the next rainy or overcast day).

Water well beforehand.  Try to keep as much soil around the root as possible.  Water well afterwards.

I would plant them deep right up to the first leaves and firm in when you plant, then water well.

I only put my last ones in over the weekend, spent the first couple of days playing dead, now they are all standing up and beginning to grow.

I have received 20 sprouts and 20 sprouting broc plugs today.  sadly there wasn't enough room in my vege patch so I have had to pot most up until I have comendeered more of my friends allotment and dug it over, might take a couple of weeks.  would they be better outdoors now or are they safe in a conservatory (no direct sun)?

I had my last lot of caulis outside the greenhouse waiting for me to put them in, they came on fine.  stronger plants than when they were sitting in the greenhouse

i planted out about 70 cabbages last week and within a day they had all gone!  i have now learnt my lessen for next time, to invest in some netting!

I have exactly the same problem with all my brassicas kizza - I'm planting them all out nice and deep, as nothing ventured nothing gained.

I feel like I'm behind with everything this year and that the weeds really are finally getting the better of me, so I'm re-doubling my efforts to get to the plot little and often in order to try and make some  headway.
