Parsnips
« on: May 11, 2008, 22:35 »
Hi - just starting in my allotment.  Planted carrots and parsnips 4 weeks ago.  Some of the carrots have come up but no sign of the parsnips.  Any idea how long I should wait before accepting defeat.

My last batch planted a month ago are just coming up aubergine, so I wouldn't give up yet. They are known to be slow germinators

parsnips are slow to germinate, they'll probably emerge after the next rains :D

I planted mine in March and they're only just starting to come up now. I was about to give up hope.
