Any downsides to large pots for young blueberry plants?

I've currently got a few 1 yr old blueberry plants in decent sized pots but I've recently freed up some much bigger tubs (wider), probably a fair bit bigger than the plants need, and I'm considering transplanting them as we head into spring.

Any thoughts on how the blueberries might cope with a ton more space to grow into? Could I actually stunt/harm them by giving them over-sized pots (something I've read can happen with some plants?)

Mine went into bigger than they needed when new, were put on a corner of a large cultivated area and left. They are now growing out of the bottom quite happily.

I have two 3l plants arriving soon and I’ve already earmarked two big metal bins for them…. I was a little worried about putting them into such big containers, and was going to repot till they fitted. But another part of me says just get them in there and see how they get along

If you are going to use an oversized container, I would make sure you prop it up off the ground if you can, just to ensure excess water drains out.  Stepping stone pavers can be useful for that.

I have 3 plants, so found 3 large old pots, cut the bottoms off and dug 3 large holes. Pots put in and then added pine needles before special soil. I am hopelessly at watering pots.
