diseased victoria plum tree

I planted a Victoria plum tree in my garden in 2012, and while it's grown well, it's never fruited properly. There's plenty of blossom each year, but the fruit rarely sets well: it's usually deformed, shrivelled (shaped a bit like a boxing glove) and looks like it doesn't have a stone. Some of the leave don't look healthy either. I planted it partly to mark the birth of my son, but also because I love Victoria plums! Any ideas on whether it will ever bear healthy fruit?

Sounds like 'Pocket Plum' which is caused by a fungus, it causes distortions to the wood as well.


I cannot suggest you use 'Bordeaux Mixture'.
