Allotments available - Bressingham, Norfolk.
« on: March 07, 2013, 17:04 »
Not sure if any of you know but Karl (Muntjac) is on the committee of our local allotment site (parish council run) and is, along with other allotment holders, getting the site ready for newcomers. It has been left to go to rack and ruin for many years.

The plots are situated in

Bressingham, Norfolk.

Cost per year is only £12 for a 30ft x 60ft plot (I think).

We are just waiting for it to be ploughed and harrowed, then the plots will be marked out.

Unfortunately there is no water on site.

If anyone is interested send me a pm.

Hi Aggy,

I've just edited your post to make it stand out.
Glad to see Munty is still involved in community gardening :)

Wadda ya mean rack and ruin?  8) (This is Tracey by the way, Karl gave me this web address today)

Personally I don't find the lack of water a problem, I have guttering and a water butt on the shed plus I bring down drums of water in the summer (if we have one) together with a bit of judicious planting for dry conditions it's fine.

And don't forget the free manure from Dave's horses, I'll be filling my compost bins soon.

Thick gloopy clay....never seen the like before :(  Karl's been putting plenty of horse poo and lime in and we may have a large delivery (free) of compost delivered, which hopefully will help! :)
