Hi All, to cut a long and rather sad story short, I'll be moving from my current location and therefore will be having to give up my allotment.. :(
On the other hand, I will be moving into a place with more garden than you can shake a stick at :)
So the question - How possible is it to transplant taters, jerusalem 'chokes and broad beans? (all been in the ground about a month)

If it were me I would dig up the Spuds and pot them in large pots (the sort used for patios and earlies in cold greenhouses). Would probably only be able to afford to keep part of my crop that way ...
Jerusalems will probably be fine - I'd put them in a large tray of compost for the journey, they'll stay like that a while. Mine aren't above the surface as yet.
Broad beans ... they would probably transplant
