We  have 4 new hens for just a week, they are all pol, we have had 12 eggs so far from 3 of the hens. Today one of the eggs looks like it has been pecked. Is this normal?

When chickens lay they stand up to let the egg 'drop out'. If there is insufficient bedding material under the hen then the egg drops and can end up with small cracks in them. Sometimes these can look as though the egg has been pecked.

On the other hand some hens will peck their eggs, but in my experience will peck until it cracks and then eat it!
