Title: bean weevils

been and checked on veggies this morning only to find that been told by other gardener that the bean weevils ave been at my broad beans does it make any problems with keeping them in and will they carry on growing :unsure:

I don't think bean weevils cause a problem in small numbers... just a few holes but nothing serious!  However, this year my broadbeans were eaten to shreds and there were loads of the little critters on all of the plants.  I ended up spraying with one of the shop bought- vegetable friendly- sprays.  One spray saw the end of them and my broadbeans are looking alot happier now! Guess it depends on how bad the infestation is.

Thank you nick will ave to get a spray my neighbour has used washing up liquid as last year were covered with black fly thought it may of helped but her's are the same xx
