Thanks for the heads up Mum. :) Looks like I'll be checking what needs moving to the greenhouse. :D
-
Oh good - colder weather should the weeds growing and the slugs surviving.
-
Down to 6 C in East Mids this morning.
-
Not as cold as that here, yet, but what wind there is - has shifted and is now from the North!
-
2C overnight here. A slight frost on front lawn at 8am
-
Wouldn't mind a bit of frost, its been conspicuous by its absence in recent winters!
Cheers

Thank you for the heads up, MoS. I have just put the bubble plastic up in the greenhouse so we can move some plants in, and will move a few plants under cover at the plot on Sunday morning. That cold blue blob on the map looks a bit too close for comfort!!
-
Car frozen this morning!

Down to 2.7C here, but don't think there was an actual frost  nothing seems damaged anyway.
Everything is slowly being moved into the greenhouse today ;)

and your rite time to get those tender plants in the greenhouse and dig out that fleece :D
-

-2C overnight. Beautiful crisp morning. As soon as I've done my morning trip to butcher's, newsagent and ASDA, off with the good clothes, on with dirty jeans and outdoors for as long as possible. Tasks include muck-spreading, putting fuchsias into greenhouse, harvesting and cleaning celeriac and parsnip, putting bolted leeks onto compost and sweeping up leaves
-
3 deg here overnight. Watched people scraping ice off their car windows on Friday morning in Patterdale - lovely sunny day though!
-
What a lovely place!! Great photograph!! Thanks for sharing.
Was a bit fresh here.

Overnight lows of -2 or 3C widely forecast - protect anything tender you want to keep - I think this should finish the dahlias off, so I can start drying the tubers out.

I was harvesting some sprouts, cabbage and PSB, and there were still cabbage white caterpillars munching away, even under the netting!!
Bring on the frosts please!!

St. Peter must have been listening! It's 2C at 07.15 this morning and the cars and roofs are well frosted.
I'll check on those "cheeky so and sos" a bit later!!

Sub zero here this morning at 7am, so I daresay the nasturtium leaves have bought it now... plus any late feeding caterpillars too
-
Same here, saw the frost on the grass when I opened the window. I may investigate further later ::)

Gorgeous sunshine now, but pretty chilly in the shade ;)
-
Well another frost and only 2C again.
However the "cheeky so and sos" were happily sunbathing at 9 'clock this morning!
Any survivors after todays squashing session will definitely be re-named!!
-
At 7.20 this morning it was -1C.
I'll be checking later if those horrible little critters have survived this one!
-
Just got back from a quick plot inspection, overnight low was -1.9c here. Ground is mostly frozen solid, so I'll have to go back this afternooon to do some work.

A lovely frosty morning today in West Wales. Winter at its best.
