spindly toms

well i went away last Tuesday with toms sitting happily on the kitchen windowsill and left instructions with my daughter to water them for me should they dry out...she did that for me but ive returned to see the toms have shot up in height almost double but they are looking spindly and a bit weak looking...ive put them in greenhouse for the daytime and will bring them in at night so my question is will the extra light of the greenhouse help them fatten out a bit or have i no chance to recover them.
R.I.P Bobby Smiler Smith......love you always little fella.

Pot them on and plant them deeper, the stem will grow roots.  A lack of light makes them spindly.
Cheese makes everything better.

also if you pot on any side shoots that you remove they will grow into good sturdy plants

Yes, potting on deeper should do the job.

I was also told to stroke the tops while they are still inside. Apparently that makes them 'think' it's the wind and the stems go a bit more sturdy. Might be an old wives tale but a bit TLC can't hurt :-)
