ive just come across an artical on the internet ,

using old cd disks as bird scarers ,

drill a small hole on the edge of cds and tie a length of string to the cds and the other end to a pole or between 2 canes ,

the disks twirl and flash in the wind , making the birds (pigeons ) nervous of land on and eating your growing vegetables

hi there , to scare the birds we drill holes in old cds / dvds dangle them on 4ft canes via a piece of string, about 1ft long tied to the end opf the cane , they make a noise and theyalso reflect the sunand sent sun reflections all over
