Is there any reason I shouldn't put the dead brown strawberry leaves in the wormerie.

I don't think it would hurt the worms but there's nothing left for them to eat which is why they need green stuff, bits of veg and fruit and replenished bedding (strips of newspaper).

The leaves you see being dragged into holes by lobworms are normally dead and brown so your worms should be fine with the strawb leaves.
