I went to look at the plot today and it all seemed OK. Thought I'd dig up some leeks tomorrow -- all under seven inches of snow now  :tongue2: :tongue2: :tongue2: :tongue2:

I've just walked to the plot and shaken/shovelled all the snow off the brassica netting, before it capsizes under the weight.

Looking at the snow and how badly my broad beans are fairing, even under a polytunnel.

I cannot contemplate trying to do anything on the allotment with all the snow. However my weed fabric arrived today and I plan on using it to grow onions thru this year so I might have a session cutting crosses into it to cover a couple of onion beds. A nice warm job I can do inside!

When making planting holes through weed fabric try a narrow flame gas gun. Cuts hole and welds edges so saves fraying.   Bob.
