I've quite a few autumn fruiting raspberries....unfortunately about 3 of these plants have bright yellow leaves. I'm thinking (and Munt thinks also) it could be lack of magnesium. Anybody else had this problem?

Really? I seem to recall a much earlier thread I wrote about epsom salts and got thoroughly trounced by a great many members, one of which I think was you WG

Trounced is a little harsh since my first reply was a suggestion of how to avoid needing it in the first place.

But magnesium sulphate, for the record - (speaking as a chemist) - is a true salt since it is the condensation product of an acid and an alkali.

Yeah, magnesium hydroxide and sulphuric acid unless I am mistaken.   And you want to put it on your veggies!!

Was a little more mischievous but I was keen to show that there was more than one chemist in the forum!
