Just when things were going so well :-(
« on: June 13, 2009, 09:01 »
 the vandals arrived.....

They struck on Wednesday evening apparently, altho I didn't find out until last night when I went up to attack some weeds.

They have just run amock (sp?) on a few plots...   randomly chosen as far as I can tell.

We have lost half our broad beans, a quarter of our red onions, a few parnips and quite a bit of salad. They also knocked all the debris netting of our cabbages and broke a few of the supports.

The OBND who is 83 (bless him) was really upset to find that all of his spring cabbage had been stamped on  >:(    and a few others around me have lost selected crops.

I really don't 'get it'???!!  It's beyond me...    what sort of pleaseure 'they' get from just stomping on crops and destroying things?

Just have to philosophical I suppose, sadly I think it's a sign of the times.

Vandalism is rife on our site apparently, so sadly won't be the last time I suppose??

be interesting to see what the little *******s reaction would be if you stamped on their ipods, mobile phones, poured oil on their prized trainers etc, wouldn't it? - not that I'm advocting it, but if caught they'd merely get a tap on the wrist and sent home laughing their socks off - wouldn't they?
