1st year for many of growing veg again and today was seriously rewarding.   Picked 4 types of salad leaves for family bbq + 1st crop of runners which are now sliced and ready to go with roast lamb with our own spuds 2morrow.  Horticutural fleece over rocket has worked a treat no flea beetle. Toms are turning colour (and they are all funny varieties) and must not overlook garlic and garlic flavoured chives.  Flowers are all brilliant.  The sun-tan is doing well, so I guess it must all be pretty good. Hope It's all good for you folk out there as well.   Mrs Bouquet

isnt it smashing mrs b to prepare your OWN veg and eat it!! we've had a huge lollo rosso lettuce tonight along with red onions and new pots with chives on top, it all tastes so lovely and its healthy. shame about the pimms and bbq we had with it!! :oops:  its our 1st yr too of growing and we are already talking about opening up more garden! cant wait for the sweetcorn!! oh also 2 bags of runner beans in the freezer today as well!

Have to agree with you there. We had Courgettes on toast for breakfast. Followed by Courgettes with cheese and chives for lunch.  For tea I managed Steak,..... with ..............
