has anybody else experienced this our sweetcorn at the plot seems to have gone to seed at about 18-24 inch high those at home are ok variety Swift never had this with corn before grew Swift last couple of years have been good [they have formed tassles very low down not sure what to do ] thanks in advance.

Not sure if there is anything much you can do other than praying for sunshine.
I have had sweet corn produce corn low on the plant in the past. If you have tassels hopefully you should get something. Good luck HH

That is the same for the crop for one of my plot neighbours. He put his out several weeks before me and they did look miserable at first.

Mine and a few others on the site are OK, but we were all very late planting out.  The weather however seems to have suited them better and mine are all taller than the early planted crop next door and still growing. Fingers crossed they stay that way.

Was there a difference in planting out dates for yours ?

 same date i also gave about 40 plants to to 2 friends at plot both of these are ok  makes me think something to do with my beds at plot  each year i put a small dressing of manure and compost over each bed from same source but all the other veg seem ok i think i will leave them and see what happens  and report back thanks

Could it be due to the very poor weather the SE has experienced in the lasst two weeks?
