unpleasant mealy bug surprise

Hi all,
I went out to tidy my purple sprouting and got a nasty surprise. One plant was so infected that I took it out completely

Some of the others are succumbing as well especially where there is young growth. Is there anything that I can do?

Mealy cabbage aphids rather than mealy bugs, I presume?
